The Challenge: Rules and Limits
Profit targets, loss limits, trading days, the best-day rule, and exactly what you can and cannot do during the challenge.
- What is the difference between the 2-Step and the 1-Step challenge?2-Step targets 8 % then 5 % with 4 % daily and 10 % overall loss; 1-Step targets 10 % with 3 % daily and 6 % overall. Both need 5 trading days per phase.
- How much time do I have to complete the challenge? There is no time limit in any phase, but 30 consecutive calendar days without a single executed trade close the account.
- What does "minimum 5 trading days" mean? Each phase needs at least 5 days, not necessarily consecutive, with at least one executed trade; a day runs from one 23:00 CE(S)T rollover to the next.
- What is the difference between balance and equity?Balance counts only closed trades, swaps and commissions; equity adds the floating result of open positions, and both loss limits are evaluated on equity.
- How is the daily loss calculated? The daily loss is a fixed dollar amount (4,000 USD on a 100k 2-Step), measured from the higher of balance or equity at the 23:00 CE(S)T rollover.
- How is the maximum overall loss calculated? The overall loss is static from the initial balance: on a 100k 2-Step your equity must stay above 90,000 USD, and that threshold never trails your profit.
- What is the best-day rule?Your best day may be at most 40 % of total profit; in the challenge exceeding it only raises the target to best day ÷ 0.40, on funded it postpones the payout.
- Do I have to use a stop-loss?A stop-loss is not mandatory in any phase.
- Can I trade during news?News trading is allowed without restriction in the challenge and on the funded account; pending orders get realistic slippage and fill at the market price.
- Can I hold positions overnight and over the weekend?Overnight and weekend positions are free and unrestricted; swap is charged at the 23:00 CE(S)T rollover, tripled on Wednesday and Friday, and counts to limits.
- Can I hedge?Hedging inside your own account is allowed; hedging across accounts, yours or other people's, with us or with other prop firms, is prohibited.
- Are EAs, bots or automation allowed?EAs, bots, API scripts and webhooks are prohibited; manual trading from desktop and mobile is unrestricted.
- What happens if I breach the daily or overall limit?Breaching the daily or overall limit closes the account; you receive a written decision within 5 business days and have 14 days to appeal.
- Can I have multiple accounts? You can buy any number of challenges, but concurrently funded capital is capped at 200,000 USD, exceeded only by scaling a funded account.
